„The Fantastic Lem”.  Fifteen of Lem's best short stories have been chosen through a plebiscite among readers, with the help of the writer himself and the literary critic Jerzy Jarzebski, who also voted for their favorite texts.  The stories have been ordered according to readers' ranking – the further in the list, the more the author and the critic had to say about their choice.  All parties agreed that stories chosen from different series have to be live, full of fantastic ideas, grotesque humor and unexpected turns but – at the same time – should contain deep philosophical undertones.
